The Moon face is the same.


 

Two pieces of land 10,000 miles apart. Moon rise/set statistics show that from the strip of land on the left, the Moon is setting and from the right it is rising. A bit high in the sky for that isn't it?


Now for the Flat Earthers:

How in any crazy flat surface can the same face be visible, simultaneously from two points on a sphere? It can't be flat because it would change shape. But wherever you  are on Earth, if the Moon is visible it shows the same face no matter where viewed..


Oh and it goes upside down in Australia. Not one flat earther will respond to this. Game over.


Further: The Moon is simultaneously visible from two different continents as depicted below.  Let's assume that the Moon all over the Earth is waning and showing a half face to people in Southern Africa. Now at the same time, in the sky the people in South America are seeing the OPPOSITE!

In addition to this, the flat earthers claim that the reason the Moon is upside down in Australia is some crap about viewing a picture on the ceiling from opposite sides of the room. Both these two position are in the Southern hemisphere, so quite clearly this disproves that bullshit. In that example, if you tracked the Moon back to down to where it magically appeared from (the horizon) it would now be a completely different orientation to the sky and the same for both sides of the room!


Here, demonstrating the slam-dunk proof, x and y have completely different views of the Moon yet in reality they see the same face and orientation!


Another impossible flat Earth point: On this image below, if you put the Sun's position at its fullest westerly position just above S. America, Argentina sees over 3/4 waxing gibbous Moon and FFS! Mozambique sees a tiny sliver 1/8 waning gibbous Moon on the opposite side! If you put the Sun where the Y is, Argentina sees a full Moon and Mozambique doesn't see any Moon!

As internet debates go, the one concerning the shape of the Earth sits right up there with the truly bizarre.
